I have never heard of prestone messing up an engine… I know they are not supposed to be mixed (second website)… They should be good till morning… They may have trouble starting, due to the cold, but most cars do.
Good luck

The Prestone is good for all makes and models. You would have a problem if it were the older antifreeze formula, but it should be fine with the all makes and models stuff. The color will just look funny. You may want to look into a flush if you want to have only dexcool though.

Some anti-freezes are not compatible with others, and should not be mixed. When you buy anti-freeze, if you read the label, some say they are compatible or mix with all anti-freezes. Regular and Extended life do not mix well.
The usual best mix is 50-50 water and anti-freeze. Or you can buy Pre-mixed. Your owners manual has a section that lists capacities. It will tell you your cooling system capacity as well as oil and gas, etc. In any Auto Parts store, you can buy for usually under $10, and Anti-Freeze Tester. It is a plastic thing with little balls in it, and a rubber hose and a squeeze bulb. Instructions come with it.
