My 2005 jeep liberty leaking clear oily liquid at the front right of the vehicle. What could it be?
January 1st, 2010 | by admin |It is oily to the touch, no noticeable smell, front right axel and and drive shaft are coated with this liquid.
The oily substance has no odor, is clear and its viscosity is similar to WD40. Almost seems like oily water. Do they use antfreeze that is not colored and odorless? If so I will check the levels when the vehicle cools off.
coolant? or maybe some kind of oil?

Sounds like oil… Did you check ALL the fluids? Are you really a man? I don’t know any guy that can’t troubleshoot his own car!

it could be time to exercise that 5 year 100,000 mile warantee that they promote… oops dont have that? oh well then it is probably break fluid leaking and you will find yourself flying into the rear of the car in front of you exercising the insurance that you are paying for from the little lizard guy… or if you dont have insurance then you are probably f*cked for the rest of your life or until you file bankrupcy like all the worthless people out there are filing to keep things they cant afford…
hope you are not one of them
thanks and have a great day

It sounds like coolant. Take it to a garage and have them take a look at it. If the mechanic thinks it’s coolant, he’ll want to perform a cooling system pressure test. He will pressurize the cooling system and force it to leak the coolant so he can see where it’s coming from>
