What performance modifications should I make to my 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.7L hemi?

I do race it at an 1/8th mile drag strip against other vehicles.

So any ideas of good performance and power upgrades?

the best bang you,ll actually get for the amount of money you can spend is on a programmer,they give the most performance for the least amount of money,other than improving the exhaust on it a programmer would be the first thing i would add to it,good luck

    There are several things you can do.

    1. A Programmer (Superchips) or something comparable. With these, you can go into the computer and change the settings set at the factory and open them up a lot more.

    2. Cold Air Intake
    3. Open up your exhaust – headers, a performance exhaust (Borla, Magnaflow) with some dual exhaust.
    4. Depending what you want to spend, you can also look into a supercharger
    5. NOS

    These 5.7’s run much better once you open them up and get rid of the factory settings!
    Nice thing with the programmers, they also remember the factory settings in case you want to put things back to factory settings, you just plug it in and it resets the things you want set.
