Will we see lots of vehicles with Obama 08 Sticker in the parking lot of Army Recruiter stations soon?

December 10th, 2009 | by admin |

After Obama announced that he would send more troops out? Just curious…

Ask the guys at Operation Yellow Elephant, who have tried for years to get members of College Republicans to enlist. I know a young Democrat who last year graduated from UVA College of Law as a member of the U.S. Army- he is eager to serve his country and wants to be a career JAG.

The majority of Congressional members with a military service background are Democrats. Sen. Daniel Inouye of Hawaii is a Congressional Medal of Honor recipient for his valor during WW2, losing an arm in battle. Very few Republicans claim any service beyond their state guard.

A few weeks ago, Army veteran Markos of Daily Kos caused the Chicken Hawk Republican Tom Tancredo to rip off his mic and headset, then storm off the set of Hardball when Markos challenged Tancredo’s criticisms of the VA, noting Tancredo dodged the draft by pretending to suffer depression. Markos volunteered for the Army and was honorably discharged. Yep, another liberal Democrat. He picked up the nickname Kos while in the Army.

Democrats enlist and serve in far greater numbers. Atheists/agnostics enlist in numbers far higher than their per capita population- my nephew is one of them, 12 years active duty.

No. The military is choosy about who they take these days.

I don’t think they will have the time, what with being in line at the welfare office and the unemployment line.

Smart peope realize that the United States Military Forces have hundreds of thousands od Liberal Democrats in them serving ALREADY.

According to an analysis of campaign contributions by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics, Democrat Barack Obama has received nearly six times as much money from troops deployed overseas at the time of their contributions than has Republican John McCain, and the fiercely anti-war Ron Paul, though he suspended his campaign for the Republican nomination months ago, has received more than four times McCain’s haul.

Hopefully not as the military must take a non-political stance. Let each soldier vote his own way without outside pressure.
