I am looking to buy a NEW 2006 or 2007 vehicle and would like to buy one that offers full-time 4wd or "all wheel drive" under $25,000. Does anyone have any suggestions?

i own a repair shop,and a lot of people have been turning to the Subaru,s here lately ,,they seem to be offering the best deal on all wheel drive vehicles right now,,there are other also on the market,,KIA has a good deal on some 4 wheel drive ones,also,,and the warranty they have is unbeatable ten years ,,or one hundred thousand miles,,that cant be beat,and there building a real good vehicle right now,,,i think if i was going to buy a new one id probably go for the KIA,,because of the warranty ,,and the price,,you can get a lot with KIA for 25 thousand,,you might want to look in to one,,I’m seeing a lot of them around lately,,good luck hope this help,s.

Are you asking about particular models or a series? Because , of course Treasure Hunts are always difficult. I can’t remeber if they started them this year or not. But next year, for sure, there will be THs and Super THs.

It could depend on a number of things. I would look for less than four, but it could be legitamitely up to maybe eight. Everytime the car is sold, it gets a report. If it goes to a dealer and they don’t sell it quickly, it can go to auction to another dealer and the same could happen again. At the dealership ask for the carfax report and be sure to check the VIN and not just the color and model of the car. I have seen twice where the dealer gets the carfax for a car of the same year and color and it be a different VIN.

I have a 2006 Dodge Stratus with about 20K miles on it. I want to have realistic preventative maintenance performed on the vehicle. Where can I find an unbiased breakdown of what to have done at what mileage? Do I take this kind of work to the dealer? Are there any advantages in doing that? Any thoughts are welcome.

it should tell you in your owners manual in your glovebox, yea you can take it to a dealer but they will most def rape you on the bill (parts and labor) take it to a good mechanic if you know one

I’m in the market for new vehicle. I have looked at a 2006-08 Pontiac Grand Prix GXP, and 2006-09 Chevy Impala SS, but I’m worried about the backseat not being as roomy. So, I’m looking for something with good power, doesn’t have to be a big engine like these two I’ve mentioned, that would probably have more space, and not such a cramped backseat.

I have owned and driven these vehicles. The horse power is there when you need it, also the gas mileage is great. If your really looking for an all around great car, gas savings, maintenance and comfort go with one of these.

My wife and I are looking to get a bigger SUV with our growing family and needing more space when traveling. Is it stupid to trade for a car of the same year, or worth it if the "new" vehicle meets our needs?

You are acting smart. The minute you take a "new" vehicle out of the dealer, it depreciates by thousands of dollars as you must know.

Will the new car tax rates (UK) apply to vehicles manufactured befoe 2001 but first registered here after that

e.g., a Japanese import manufactured in 1999, but imported into the UK in 2006. Would that be counted as a pre-2001 vehicle for tax purposes? Or do they count registration as first registration of that individual vehicle in the UK?

I’m not 100% sure what on earth the Government is playing at but according to a chart I’ve found, my old tax was based on engine size and only £120 – the new banding means emissions and it’ll leap to £205 then £300!!
