I recently saw this military vehicle at an air show/weapons expo. I was baffled as to its purpose. It was a large truck with what looked like a net on the back. So there was truck and above it, standing horizontal was a net structure. Kinda like this:-

I think that German tanks and other vehicles were good looking in addition to being cutting edge. Same for their ships & subs.

There are many companies producing armored vehicles, including some of the private security companies producing vehicles for their own use.
A few:
MRAP: made by BAE Systems (worldwide)
Others:
Force Protection Inc (US)
Alvis (British)
General Dynamics (made the original HMMWV, US)
O'Gara-Hess & Eisenhardt (worldwide)
and many many more....

i.e. a triangle or a circle or square or < or >
A triangle stands for Armor and the < or > usually represent which platoon that vehicle is (not everyone uses it). I'm not familiar with a circle or square being painted on any vehicles.
