I have not sent any money and i appreciate your anwers! i couldn’t find a # to get ahold of yahoo to ask…

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AqKgJEdmyQBExsT.nUWNhE7n5HNG;_ylv=3?qid=20100923090311AAKtlJM

Kinda like the same situation in the question I linked to…

It’s a scam. It is posted on here 10-20 times a day. Yahoo! never gets involved on third-party transactions, especially to act as an escrow service.

No, there would be no reason to interfere with a military convoy, unless there was an accident. The local police would be informed if a convoy comes through.

I actually live near fort gillem , but they looked like cemet trucks with camo on them

If what your saying is "why are vehicles going around the streets near me in the middle of the night" the reason is they are either going to another military base. They also if you are living in a military base, I would assume that to be normal. Many times during the day do I have Helicopters flying from Fort Drum to the 174th in Syracuse over my house, and the other way around.

Probably Supply trucks going to assist either another military base or on their way back.

I would like websites and details whether there are any air displays, etc.

Thank you.

The only one i can think of that is a general technical museum is the Deutches Museum in Munich Germany. They have a few vehicles like the Kettenkraftrad and planes like the ME 262. I have not visited since the late 90’s so there could be different exhibits now.

My goal is to one day be able to work for the military or a company that makes military vehicles, like tanks or something. and one I’m wondering what field in engineering should I do to make it easiest for me to be involved in making those, I’m thinking Mechanical, But I’m just making sure. Any inputs please?
What universities offer courses for weaponry engineering?
And I meant a major field, btw.

Well, the obvious answer is combat/weapon systems engineering (I only know of this as Masters or PhD, but there may be Bachelor majors for this), explosive engineering (Undergrad or grad), or systems engineering (undergrad or grad)..But remember, all types of engineers are needed for everything. My personal favorite is Metallurgical or Materials Engineering. I think developing the armor plating is more worthwhile than the gear box…

But to best answer your question, you should try contacting a military recruiter (Army for tanks, Navy/Air Force for space related or flying projects or other cool things).

The Military has certain people in charge of managing designs as well as partially designing things, For instance, the Engineering Duty Officer. An EDO is a Military Officer in charge of a couple thousand people who work for a defense contractor designing a missile. They have the technical background and managerial/leadership skills to build whatever weapon or combat system.

Some of these programs have accession programs (hence why you should contact a few military recruiters). This means you talk to them, ask what type of engineer they want, go to college for a year and apply for their acceptance. If accepted, you have a job out of college, and most of the time, they will pay you for school or other.

I saw some pictures from Somalia of two assault vehicles that were captured. One was a Toyota and one was a Nissan. They had guns mounted on them.

I’m not sure if those vehicles were made like that or if they had just mounted guns on top of them. However they did not look like any kind of car that you would see on the street.

I suspect what you are referring to are called "technicals". Essentially a civilian light truck (whatever is available, any will do) with some sort of heavy weapon installed in the bed – usually a heavy machine gun or recoilless rifle.

The Japanese do not and can not by law export military hardware.

Much modern war machines we see today (submarines, battleships, tanks, airplaines) were developed very late 1800s – early 1900s and first saw combat in The great war (1914-1918)
