Trading in my 95' Disco for the cash for clunkers. It gets combined 13. If i get a large truck it needs to get 15mpg combined city/highway. And for cars it needs to get combined 23. I need something under 35k before my $4500 trade in.

A lot of it depends on the State you are in. There will be sales taxes, license fees, registration fees, documentation fees, filing fees, and the list goes on. I would think something between 1500 and 2500 ...

Does anyone know if this program will let you trade in your old vehicle for a newer model (previously owned and from the dealership), or is it just for a brand new vehicle?
It has to be a brand new never titled vehicle with an msrp of less than $45,000.
