Nissans are not crap, War Veteran. Fighting for America is a great heroic thing, but that doesn’t mean that anything built outside of the US is shit. Check your facts. 115k is a little high for the year, however. I think you should look around for a little longer and you may find something better. driving an extra 50-100 miles to get a better deal on a car is worth the drive and your time, believe me.

Any sports car with rear wheel drive will be horrable in the snow stash the Z each winter and buy a winter beater like a 1986 ford taurus wagon with the mismatched doors and different colored hood. But get the one with small rusted out spots in the floor that allows water to drain off of your muclucks.

Hello! My sole question is projected on the automobile: Nissan. Are these renowned cars reliable and consistent? Specifically how do they perform on the road/terrain? Do they contain comfortable interior traits? Obviously, a myriad of individuals won’t feel jovial in the multitudinous sum of vehicles that could potentially be purchased from this illustrious automobile constructing incorporation. Generally, I am observing Altima’s and Maxima’s, but all input is integral. Thanks! )))

I have a Nissan Sentra 2004 and I noticed a recurrent problems with Nissan’s 4 cylinder engines, this is at some point they will blow a head gasket. I got mine after the first month, the car backfired. Found misfire-indicated Cylinder 3, stated repair would be 1 cylinder head gasket, 1 valve cover gasket needed to be replaced, the heads were not harmed, the car did not over heat nor was is there any abuse or misuse .After that was fixed, the car has been running very well. I can attest in mine , I feel the bumps, but overall a smooth ride and it has great horsepower, handels like a new car on interstate, with windows up, you can drown out most all of the road noise.I get about 265-275 tank of gas. One item to note, the radio /cd player went out after a few months, it showed error on many playable cd’s, cd’s also attempting to play they would , skip like the music was fast forwarding, then one day, the cd got stuck in player, would not come out, and replaced it with new one. From all I can tell it is head gaskets & bad cd players, are what I seen listed as major concerns. So far with 3000 miles my oil level shows it to still be current on dip stick. It comes down to how well the owner/owners before you took care of their car to how long one will last. Thus far at 110,000 miles mine is running like a new car…

Will carry 500 pounds more weight
Will tow 1500 pounds more weight
Will get slightly better fuel economy 24 MPG vs 23 MPG
Has a much larger cargo area
Will have a better warranty
Many items that are standard on the Chevy are options that you pay extra for on the Nissan.
On Star which the Nissan has nothing remotely similar.

The Xterra sucks way more gas and has more of a truck ride than the Escape.
If you are going to do zero off-roading, then the Escape is the less expensive, and more practical, choice.

I would also consider the Hyundai Santa Fe and the new 2011 Kia Sorento.
Don’t touch any Sorento 2009 or before. It’s a totally different vehicle.

I have a 93 Nissan pickup. It is registered, inspected, and even insured legally. The city code enforcement gave me a citation saying that it is a hazardous vehicle. The pickup sits in my driveway and not on the street and I use it frequently. When I asked the enforcement office why they did this they told me that it is a state law. I do not agree with this and want to now if there is a law and who to contact to start a change.

It could be for several reason’s, on blocks, jacked up. You need to talk to the code enforcement people, they have got to tell you why.. Just telling you that its a hazardous vehicle is not a proper answer, you have he right to know!
