Does anyone know how many vehicles are used for Google Street Map ? I wonder cause in one of my searches I did I saw its shadow .

There are at least 3. I only know this because last month, while driving through San Francisco, I actually passed the Google Maps car. I thought that was really cool, until I realized there were two more just like it behind it.

Each car had, like, a dozen cameras on top, all pointing different directions.
It was REALLY cool.

How are Volkswagen Vehicles/ Used Cars?

Hi I’m looking around at used cars and I am particularly interested in 2005-2007 Volkswagen Golf vehicles. I have heard that Volkswagen are not good in customer service and their parts are fairly expensive to fix. Any suggestions or past experiencies?

Also what would you suggest I look for. Keep in mind im 19 this will be my first vehicle and I’m looking to spend a maximum of about $9,000 on a used vehicle.

Mechanically, VW’s are pretty reliable. My step brother bought a 1984 Scirocco new and did regular maintenance as scheduled. The first mechanical issue was his original clutch gave out in 1999 at 205K miles. His son now owns the car, and its his daily driver with over 300K and only a starter and an alternator have been replaced since. 15 years and 200K+ is pretty good for no repairs, but since the electrical/electronic revolution, VW has been a bit behind, along with the other German cars. The extras, like displays, nav systems, digital readouts and such, tend to give out piece by piece after the car is 5 years old or so. These items are expensive to replace, more so than the expensive mechanical parts. So you either deal with blank readouts, no backlighting, etc., or spend a lot on repairs.

I’d look for the newest model I could find from a private party, older owner. That way you can have a better chance at the car being driven lightly and properly maintained, as well as having the lowest price. The interiors are amazing, the drive is great, and the styling is classic. I can understand why you would want this car, but just be careful of abused models and be prepared for a few expensive repairs.

diesel engines, with higher compression, are more efficient than gasoline engines.

any older American make. Japanese and European parts are expensive. Ford, Chevy and Dodge parts aren’t.

I saw pictures of the vehicle graveyard, everything is still there but I was wondering if all the equipment is still radioactive today. I know that the reactor has thousands of years before its decontaminated.

It doesn’t matter what type of car it is, what year it is or how much it is. Save your money and always pay cash.

If you only have $1500.00 buy a $1500 car. Drive it until you save another $1500. Trade the $1500 car in and take your $1500 cash and buy a $3000 car. Drive the $3000 car until you save another $1500 and then trade the $3000 car and get a $4500 car. This "snowball effect" works and you won’t be driving around junk cars for long.

in case you alternator is not being used!

That would be powered by the alternator if the car is running. Of course if your alternator worked it would be charging your battery already.

Southern States Cooperative has Service Vehicles I see driving around all of the time. I would like to know if these vehicles are sold periodically.

yes periodically.. some of the vehicles and equipment have to be sold for renovation, updating, etc…
Yet sometimes it just sold to a company or known equipment/vehicles Broker dealers.. and sometime sas auction..
Best way to contact their offices, and talk with one of high executives, and ask.. the direct way is the best to have your answers,
