Do you feel that the use of unmarked specialty police vehicles, IE maximas, suv’s, etc. are ethical ?
December 26th, 2009 | by admin |Please know I am not talking about undercover work. I’m talking about the Highway Patrol specialty vehicles.I don’t know much about the purpose behind these specialty vehicles or where the funding is coming from and I would like to know. No disrespect to law enforcement is intended with this question.
and by the way….I don’t speed…so there is no "it’s not fair" thing…I just want to know other’s opinions.
Oh Yea! Not only is it ethical, I think it’s hilarious. Now I must admit to you the same as I told my sons, I have spent so much money on tickets & high risk insurance that I probably could have bought a new car with all that money.
Isn’t it silly when you see those who speed down the road then slam on their brakes& go WAY below the speed limit when they think they see a cop. then stomp on it again when they think the coast is clear. I say If your gonna speed – speed. Most of the time you can go about 8 mph above the limit & they won’t mess with you. There were a lot of unmarked cars in Indianapolis when I lived there 3-4 yrs ago. I took the chance & I got caught too many times, oddly enough it was usually by regular patrol cars but hey – I knew I was wrong. One always take the chance of getting caught when one breaks the law. Why should the cops stand out like a sore thumb? If your the kind who doesn’t like it uhm…slow down – their watching!!!
