What is a good price for a teen to charge for detailing a large SUV?

February 12th, 2010 | by admin |

I detail cars, trucks and SUVS, and other vehicles. I do a great job too. I am only 14 but I am told I do great. I always do my best and I make cars look great when I am done, and I don’t think people take me seriously when I tell them I detail cars and I detail many people’s cars and they are repeated customers and the problem is that I usually always get ripped off because I don’t know if I should charge even close to what professionals charge, even though I do the job of a professional. I have been detailing cars for a few years now, and I get better every car. Please help!

Go up until youy repeat customers tell you that you are too high then you’ll know the most you can get.

$100 is the usual around here. Charge that for a fullsize SUV and maybe $80 for light trucks and sedans.

don’t sell your self short on this one, charge enough to cover your time and supplies,it cost a lot these days to get one done right ,so if your doing that good of a job charge close to what ever one else charges, they easily get around 60 bucks or better to do one of these, you should be able to make at least 100 bucks a day if not more, ask around, and find out some local prices in your area, then charge accordingly, good luck hope you do good at this.
