Is there an emergency call system for used vehicles?
December 5th, 2009 | by admin |My mother wants us to get dad a GPS Navigation device for Christmas, but I would be more comfortable with an Onstar-like system, even if he has to push a button, as he is getting older. Does anyone know if there is a system like this available to install on a non-GM vehicle? or anything else suitable for seniors?
Check into I-mob, the U.S. branch based in Royal Oak, Mich looks to compete in the vehicle security service in which OnStar is the primary if not only player.

I’ve done a little searching for you…not really coming up with much specifically for older adults….however….there are searches online for the category called "Telematics". This is basically the general term for wireless and GPS type devices…to include Onstar….that you may be able to find a source to fit your needs.
Just search the term "Telematics"….and hopefully you might find something.
Sorry I couldn’t be more specific for you but..you may have more time to search it than I did.
Good Luck,
