What is Dave Ramseys advice on buying used vehicles?

January 18th, 2010 | by admin |

How low to pay for them?

How to pay for them?

Anything would be cool?

Any advice you have heard on his program.

Thanks

Dave’s #1 piece of advice. PAY CASH for your cars.

It doesn’t matter what type of car it is, what year it is or how much it is. Save your money and always pay cash.

If you only have $1500.00 buy a $1500 car. Drive it until you save another $1500. Trade the $1500 car in and take your $1500 cash and buy a $3000 car. Drive the $3000 car until you save another $1500 and then trade the $3000 car and get a $4500 car. This "snowball effect" works and you won’t be driving around junk cars for long.
